Representing Townsville Tourists, North Queensland and Queensland School Sport, he has competed at the Australian Age Championships and continues to test himself against the best young swimmers in the country.

As a regional athlete, Porter embraces the challenges of travel, training and competition, using them as motivation to keep improving.

While his long-term ambition is to earn a university scholarship and ultimately represent Australia, his focus remains simple: work hard, improve each season, enjoy the journey and proudly represent North Queensland.
